Traditional

The Traditional birdhouse is made with walnut for the base and roof and maple for the house section.  I hand select the maple, looking for the most figured grain including spalting and ambrosia figure.  The maple is cut and re-assembled in a way that allows the figure to wrap around the house and create a flowing detail.  The walnut is is a consistent, dark contrasting color which holds very fine details.
